Ioannis Safranoglou is an undergraduate student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Crete, Greece. His academic journey focuses on blending technology with real-world applications, specifically in the field of Augmented Reality. He is currently completing his diploma thesis on “Augmented Reality for Real-time Decision-Making in Flood Emergencies.” Alongside his studies, Ioannis serves as an assistant researcher for the European project CREXDATA, contributing to advancements in data-driven solutions for crisis management. His research interests lie in immersive technologies and their practical implementations for emergency response and decision-making processes.
